The catalog was publsihed on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the city partnership between Trieste and Graz.
transparadiso shows the current state of their project eploring the impact of the New Silk Road, starting from Trieste as marrittime entry point and c betweenontinuing to Carynthia and Styria, on the transformation of the landscape and ithe complex context between economical interests and ecologicaal, societal issues - questioning the stilll ongoing advocacy of growth as basis for efficiency, for producing more "efficient" infrastrcuture.
The text by Reinhard Braun explores the complex context of the New Silkroad in its historical dimension until now.

The contribution by transparadio is based on their ongoing.project for ONE BELT MANY ROADS (curated by Maren Richter and Klaus Schafler.
